A Year in Willerby

The second printing of our book, A Year in Willerby, is now available to order on Etsy.

The book is almost but not quite the same as the first printing, comprising twelve stories locally printed and bound with original lino cut prints.

The cover is lavender blue rather than green, and the cover illustration is a new print of Main Street.

One story and the encore are different stories to those in the first printing.

These stories have new lino cut prints by Edward W. Finch and have been edited by Flora Taxidermy.

As with the first printing, books are sent straight from the village with a handwritten letter and a small gift.

The differences between the first and second printings are subtle and we wouldn’t advise buying the newer edition if you have the first, unless you wish to build a collection of everything we publish, or you would like to buy a book as a gift.

If you wish to do this we do advise ordering early, as we expect this book to sell before very long, given we have lots of people already on our expression of interest list.

This edition of the book is available either on its own for £20 plus P&P, or for £25 if ordered with the notes from John Macdeb’s cancelled lecture on Hugo of Willerby and the Natural History of Dragons. There are only twenty copies of the notes from John’s lecture so if you’d like one we urge you to order especially quickly.

Finally. we’d like again to thank you all for your regular visits to the village. Interest in our stories continues to grow and we welcome this.

We think all secrets should be open.

Please carry on spreading the word about the village through word-of-mouth and by sharing our stories via social media. Help more people find us.

Book reviews, like this wonderful one from Kaye Inglis, are especially welcome.

Warmest regards

The Villagers.
